Sales Simulator: practice real calls with AI prospects
There's a gap in every accent training product on the market, and it's a big one: you can practice sounds all day long, but the moment you get on a real call with a real prospect, everything falls apart. Your accent thickens. Your rhythm breaks. The pressure of thinking about what to say AND how to say it overwhelms the new patterns you've been drilling.
We know this because we lived it. And we decided to build the thing that would actually bridge that gap: the Sales Simulator.
What is the Sales Simulator?
The Sales Simulator is an AI-powered roleplay system where you practice real sales conversations with a virtual prospect. Not scripted dialogues. Not fill-in-the-blank exercises. Actual back-and-forth conversations where the AI prospect responds naturally, throws objections, asks tough questions, and behaves like a real buyer.
You speak out loud. The AI prospect responds through ElevenLabs voice synthesis -- a natural-sounding American (or British) voice that feels like talking to a real person. The conversation flows just like a real call, and when it's done, you get a detailed scorecard that tells you exactly where your accent held up and where it broke down.
Think of it as a flight simulator for sales reps. Pilots don't learn to fly by reading manuals -- they practice in simulators that recreate real conditions. The Sales Simulator does the same thing for accent performance under pressure.
7 scenarios, built for real sales
We didn't want generic “practice your English” conversations. Every scenario in the Sales Simulator maps to a specific moment in the sales cycle where accent matters most.
Cold Call Opener
The first 15 seconds where accent bias hits hardest. Practice hooking the prospect before they mentally check out.
Gatekeeper Bypass
Navigate past the assistant who's screening calls. Confidence and clarity are everything here.
Discovery Call
Ask smart questions, listen actively, and maintain accent consistency for 5+ minutes of conversation.
Objection Handling
"We're not interested." "We already have a solution." Respond smoothly without your accent thickening under pressure.
Price Negotiation
Numbers are where accents slip most. Practice delivering pricing confidently: "thirty thousand," not "tirty tousand."
Closing Call
The highest-stakes moment. Practice asking for the commitment with steady, confident delivery.
Follow-Up Call
Re-engage a warm lead. Practice the casual confidence that keeps the relationship moving forward.
How the AI works
The prospect's personality and responses are generated by advanced language models (Claude and GPT-4), fine-tuned with sales conversation patterns. Each scenario has a prospect profile: their company, their pain points, their personality type, their likelihood to buy. The AI doesn't just respond -- it acts. It pushes back on weak openers. It raises genuine objections. It gets distracted if you ramble.
The voice layer uses ElevenLabs for natural-sounding speech synthesis. The prospect speaks back to you in a clear, native accent -- which is exactly what you'd hear on a real call. This matters because half of accent management is about maintaining your trained patterns while listening to and processing someone else's speech.
On your side, we're running the same phoneme-level analysis as our daily drills, but now in real-time during a live conversation. The system is tracking every sound you make while you're simultaneously thinking about sales strategy.
The scorecard
After each simulation, you get a detailed performance breakdown across three dimensions:
But the most valuable part of the scorecard is the timestamped feedback. The system highlights specific moments where your accent shifted:
0:23 -- “I think we can...” -- /th/ became /d/, accent thickened noticeably
1:47 -- “...thirty percent growth...” -- /th/ and vowel both shifted, sounded rushed
2:31 -- “...we would love to...” -- /w/ shifted to /v/, recovered quickly
This kind of feedback is impossible to get from traditional practice. You can replay the exact moments where pressure caused your accent to slip, understand the triggers, and target those patterns in your next daily drill session.
Why this is the premium feature
Let me be direct about our product strategy here. The daily drills are the core product -- available to everyone, designed to build accent skills incrementally. The Sales Simulator is the premium feature because it delivers something no other accent app on the market offers: live conversational practice with real-time accent analysis.
BoldVoice doesn't do it. ELSA Speak doesn't do it. No accent coach can do it at this level of granularity and consistency. A human coach can tell you “your accent slipped there,” but they can't give you phoneme-level timestamps across a 5-minute conversation. And they certainly can't be available at 2 AM when you're prepping for a morning call with a US client.
The Sales Simulator is where accent training meets revenue impact. It's the bridge between “I can say the sounds” and “I can close the deal.”
Example: a cold call walkthrough
Here's what a Cold Call Opener simulation looks like from start to finish.
You select the scenario. The system shows you a brief: “You're calling Sarah Chen, VP of Marketing at a mid-size SaaS company. She's skeptical of cold calls but open to innovative solutions. Your goal: get a 15-minute discovery call booked.”
You hit start. A phone ring plays. Sarah answers: “This is Sarah.”
You deliver your opener. Sarah responds. Maybe she's interested. Maybe she says “I'm actually in a meeting, can you call back?” Maybe she hits you with “We're not looking for anything right now.” You navigate the conversation in real time, speaking naturally while the AI adapts.
The whole thing takes 2-3 minutes. Afterward, you see your scores, your timestamped accent analysis, and specific recommendations: “Focus on /th/ sounds when under pressure -- your accent shifts most on these during objection responses.”
Do three of these a week, and you're building accent resilience under exactly the conditions that matter. Not in a classroom. Not repeating after a recording. In a live, dynamic, pressure-filled sales conversation.
